Visually Impaired Students' Perceptions of Their Social Integration in College

Summary: This Article talks about a survey that was taken on six visually impaired students and the interactions they have socially in college. For each of the surveys taken, each one of the students social influences were different. One student said that once they reached college, it was a culture shock for them because the environment of it all was so different; and also said that the isolation he felt along with not being able to fit in, didn't go away.
Though to help students better succeed in college, there are programs like Disability Support Services outside of colleges such as the Rehabilitation program. This program helps students with their school supply needs such as getting braille notes, laptops, voice readers, etc. and much more.

Issue(s): The page is not compatible with screen readers, and the "listen" feature on the page is hard to find because you cannot use a screen reader for it to read to you.
